SimplStudy is an AI-powered educational platform that provides tools for creating quizzes, flashcards, study guides, and other learning materials. The Service includes features for organizing study materials, tracking progress, and sharing content with other users.

3. User Accounts

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Providing accurate and complete registration information
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

4. User Content and Publishing

Users may create and share study materials on the platform. By publishing content, you:

  • Retain ownership of your original content
  • Grant SimplStudy a non-exclusive license to display and distribute your content
  • Warrant that your content does not infringe on third-party rights
  • Agree not to publish harmful, misleading, or inappropriate content

Publishing Requirements

To maintain quality and prevent spam, users must earn at least 3 achievements before gaining the ability to publish study materials to the Discovery section. This helps verify account status and ensures publishers are active, engaged members of our community.

5. Cloning and Sharing Content

Users may clone (copy) publicly shared study materials for personal use. When cloning content:

  • The original creator retains attribution
  • Cloned content is marked with a "Cloned" badge
  • You may modify cloned content for personal study purposes
  • Re-publishing cloned content without significant modification is prohibited

6. AI-Generated Content

SimplStudy uses artificial intelligence (Groq AI) to generate study materials. Users acknowledge that:

  • AI-generated content may contain errors or inaccuracies
  • Users should verify important information independently
  • AI content is provided "as is" without warranty of accuracy
  • Users must provide their own API key for AI features

7. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringe on intellectual property rights
  • Upload malicious code or attempt to compromise the Service
  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users
  • Create fake accounts or misrepresent your identity
  • Distribute spam or unauthorized advertisements
  • Use automated systems to access the Service without permission

8. Intellectual Property

The SimplStudy platform, including its design, features, and branding, is owned by SimplStudios. Users retain ownership of their original content but grant SimplStudy necessary licenses to operate the Service.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Users may delete their accounts at any time through the Settings page. Upon termination, your data will be permanently deleted.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

11. Limitation of Liability

SimplStudios shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We will notify users of significant changes via email or in-app notification.
